Cocoa Sable Cookies

With an intense chocolate flavor, these classic chocolate sable cookies are crumbly, tender, and take shortbread to a whole new level.

Stir the flour, cocoa, the grated orange skin and the salt.

Beat the butter with the powdered sugar and the egg yolk.

Mix it with the dry ingredients.

Make a wick and oval it in sugar. Cover it with foil for fresh storage and put it in the fridge at least for 1 hour to tighten.

Cut it into disks, and then put them into pan without the foil.

Bake for 10-12 min. in heat oven on 180 degrees with fan.

Glue two by two with jam of orange.

Advice: From this amount of ingredients 10 glued sweets can be made.

  • 125 g butter (at room temperature)
  • 100 g flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 6 tbsps. powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsps. Cocoa
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • the skin of 1 orange
  • jam of orange
  • sugar for ovalling
